ArmInfo. Regulations related to mobile trade will be extended to the entire territory of Armenia. At the plenary session on March 19, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is discussing amendments to the law "On Trade and Services" and a package of related documents in the first reading.
As Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Vache Terteryan noted in his speech, the main goal of the package is to improve the demand for mobile trade, increase the turnover of outbound trade points and, accordingly, increase local tax revenues to community budgets. The government initiative is also aimed at developing tourism. The Deputy Minister recalled that a similar bill was adopted a year and a half ago, which concerned mobile trade in Yerevan. "After its implementation in the capital, it was decided to extend it to other regions of the country," Terteryan emphasized, adding that with proper administration the volumes street trading will decrease significantly.According to the observation of the keynote speaker, recently there has been a downward trend in the volume of street trading.
