ArmInfo.During the operational meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers in the Government of the Russian Federation, the issue of simplifying the procedure for opening accounts in Russian banks by foreign entrepreneurs was considered.
"Creating more comfortable conditions for foreign enterprises and entrepreneurs is an important part of the Government's systemic activities to achieve financial sovereignty as part of the implementation of national goals set by the President," said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the meeting. The signed order defines a list of 25 countries citizens and legal entities of which will be able to open accounts or deposits in Russian banks in a simplified manner.
The list of countries includes: Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, China, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mongolia, UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan , Turkey and Uzbekistan.
To do this, foreign citizens will need to submit a package of necessary documents from a credit institution in their country before entering Russia. Upon arrival, they will already be able to make payments in Russian banks.
"Of course, this will be much more convenient for those who will visit us, for tourists, entrepreneurs.. We hope that the adopted decisions will help improve interaction between the business communities of partner states," Mishustin said.
