ArmInfo.In January-September 2021, the four telecom operators of Armenia paid a  total of 27.1 billion drams ($ 55.9 million) to the state budget  through taxes, which is 16.3% higher than a year ago. Of this amount,  7.4 billion was paid in direct taxes (including income tax, profit  tax) and 13.3 billion in indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

According to the RA State Revenue Committee, the leader among  communication operators in Armenia is MTS Armenia (VivaCell-MTS  trademark), which paid 13 billion drams to the state treasury in  January-September 2021, of which 36.8 million drams - for customs  duties, 4.5 billion AMD - for direct taxes (including income tax,  profit tax), 5.5 billion AMD - for VAT. In the general list of 1000  largest taxpayers, MTS Armenia (VivaCell-MTS trademark) moved up to  the 7th position from the 9th year earlier.

UCom, which transferred 8.6 billion drams to the budget in taxes, of  which 292.7 million drams - for customs duties, 1.3 billion drams -  for direct taxes (including income tax, profit tax) and 4.4 billion  drams- for VAT. In the general list of 1000 largest taxpayers Ucom  climbed to 12th place from 17th a year earlier.  Telecom Armenia  (Beeline trademark) contributed to the state budget on tax lines 4.1  billion drams, of which 52.2 million - for customs duties, over 916.2  million - on direct taxes, 2.6 billion - on VAT. In the general list  of 1000 largest taxpayers, Telecom Armenia dropped to 31st place from  13th a year earlier.  GNC Alfa (Rostelecom trademark) paid 1.4  billion drams to the state budget through taxes, of which 9.2 million  drams - for customs duties, 623.6 million - for direct (including  income tax, profit tax) and 710.4 million in VAT, dropping down in  the general list of 1000 largest taxpayers to 115th place from 113th  a year earlier.  In the total volume of tax revenues of 1000 large  taxpayers, the share of the four telecom operators accounted for 3.1%  (versus 3.2% a year earlier).

As a reminder, in January-September 2020, the four telecom operators  paid 23.3 billion drams to the state budget through taxes, of which  11.8 billion drams in direct taxes and 9.9 billion drams.- indirect.  At that time, MTS Armenia was the leader among telecom operators in  terms of tax payments, followed by VEON Armenia (now Telecom  Armenia), UCom, and GNC Alfa.
