s a result, AMD against the dollar continued to slowly weaken - from 484.5 to 485.3 AMD / $ 1, tune to a strengthening against the euro - from 577.5 to 571 AMD / 1evro and to the ruble - from 8.3 to 8.1 AMD / 1 rub. A year earlier, on December 8, 2016, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 482.3 AMD / $ 1, to the euro - 520 AMD / 1evro, and to the ruble - 7.6 AMD / ruble, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to these currencies.
According to the press service of Armenian Central Bank, from December 4 to 8, the volume of transactions in the currency interbank market was $ 17.7 million at the weighted average rate of 485.40 AMD / $ 1 (against the previous 484.50), with the maximum volumes on Monday, Thursday and Friday - $ 3.8 million, $ 4.8 million and $ 4.8 million. In parallel, in the intra-bank foreign exchange market, the upward trend of buying / selling the dollar accelerated from 18.2-10.1% to 46.3-40%, with a change in the dynamics of euro buying from 57% growth to 28.8 % decline and slowdown in sales growth from 20.3% to 2.2%, against which the buying of the ruble was replaced by a vector from a 27.8% growth to a 14% decline, and sales, fight abruptly walked out of a 2% decline on the 39.4% growth. As a result, $ 136.7 million was purchased at the average exchange rate of 484.09 AMD / $ 1, 9.4 million euro at the average rate of 572.06 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.6 billion rubles at the average rate of 8.18 AMD / 1RUR, and sold $ 139.1 million at an average rate of 485.10 AMD / $ 1, 18.8 million euro at an average rate of 575.65 AMD / 1EUR, and 663.1 million rubles at the average rate of 8.27 AMD / 1RUR.
According to the source, over the previous week (from November 27 to December 2), Armenian banks issued AMD 68.5 billion drams and dollar loans for $ 48.4 million.
